Job summary

Expleo is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the growth of our Marine business unit in Plymouth, providing civil engineering expertise on a major defence infrastructure programme. The role involves reviewing designs during construction and acting as the interface between design, construction and site stakeholders.

Onsite attendance in Plymouth is required two to three days per week. You will apply knowledge of civil and structural principles, review documentation, respond to technical queries,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or closely related field.
• Ability to review engineering designs, drawings and technical documentation.
• Ability to understand and respond to site-based technical queries.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams and safety-focused delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review civil and structural designs, drawings and supporting documentation.
• Support implementation of approved designs during construction.
• Respond to site-based technical queries and clarifications.
• Liaise with design teams, construction teams and stakeholders.
• Support design changes and non-conformances where required.
• Undertake site visits and provide technical support to construction activities.
