Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its infrastructure and drainage team in Oxfordshire. You will design and deliver civil engineering schemes for residential and commercial developments, working with experienced engineers and other technical professionals.

The role requires 3+ years of consultancy experience and a degree in Civil Engineering. You will produce drawings, calculations and design information, liaise with clients and contractors, and help take projects from concept through

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years experience within a civil engineering consultancy
• Good experience in infrastructure and drainage design
• Solid understanding of residential and commercial development projects
• Strong knowledge of surface water and foul drainage principles
• Experience with InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage would be highly advantageous
• Experience using Civil 3D would be beneficial
• Good communication and technical problem solving skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and contribute effectively to project delivery

Responsibilities

• Designing infrastructure and drainage solutions for development projects
• Producing surface water and foul drainage designs
• Preparing technical drawings, specifications and design information
• Developing highway and infrastructure layouts
• Undertaking drainage calculations and supporting technical assessments
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants
• Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams
• Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate
• Taking projects from initial concept through to detailed design
