Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelors or Masters).
• IEng or CEng status with ICE, or working towards it.
• Experience on UK infrastructure projects (rail, highways, water, utilities, energy).
• Engineering experience across any discipline will be considered
• Excellent professional communication skills.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and OpenRoads (or equivalent).
• Experience leading teams and providing technical assurance.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
• Willingness to contribute towards innovation and best practice.
• Site experience in producing construction records is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Engineering and Design Managers and Construction Teams to drive project efficiency through design, construction and handover stages.
• Collect and review field changes, design changes and construction records for complete handover packages.
• Provide design support to ensure compliance with current standards and legislation.
• Support bidding and tendering for new contracts, preferably framework-based.
• Own clash resolution and interface coordination between stakeholders.
• Coordinate project information across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical and delivery challenges.
• Oversee CAD/BIM deliverables and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Ensure information management and streamlined handover delivery across tasks.
• Advise on digital engineering strategies and project mobilisation.
• Carry out technical reviews, audits and assurance of models and drawings.
• Support project managers with programme planning, resourcing and risk mitigation from a digital delivery perspective.
• Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers and technicians.
• Monitor deliverable production to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

We are seeking driven and delivery focussed Civil Engineers to join our growing engineering team on major infrastructure projects, both Contractor and Client side. We welcome applicants from all engineering backgrounds. A positive attitude, willingness to adapt and learn are essential.

You would be a perfect fit if you’ve been a Section Manager or Sub-agent that is ready to turn their hand to delivering Design Works, or sees themselves leading into a Design or Engineering Management role.

Key Responsibilities

• Active engagement and building of close relationships with Engineering and Design Managers and Construction Teams to ensure project efficiency and success through all design, construction and handover stages.
• Collection and review of Field Change, Design Change and Construction records to compile complete handover records.

• Working with our Team to bid and tender for new Engineering contracts, preferably framework support based.
• Ownership of clash resolution, engineering and interface coordination between stakeholders

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical and delivery challenges.
• Oversee the production and coordination of multi-disciplinary CAD and BIM deliverables.
• Understand how Information Management ties into every task and role on the project, to ensure streamlined compliance and handover delivery.
• Provide advice on adhering to digital engineering strategies and project mobilisation.
• Carry out technical engineering reviews, audits, and assurance of models, drawings, and information containers.
• Support project managers with programme planning, resourcing, and risk mitigation from a digital delivery perspective
• Provide mentoring and technical support to junior Engineers & Technicians.
• Monitor production of deliverables to ensure issued on time and within budget.

Required Skills and Experience

• Degree qualified (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar equivalent)
• IEng or CEng status with the ICE (or working towards – which will be a measure of seniority)
• Experience on UK infrastructure projects (e.g. rail, highways, water, utilities, energy).
• Engineering experience across any discipline will be considered
• Excellent professional communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant tools such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads (or equivalent).
• Experience leading teams and providing technical assurance.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• A willingness to contribute towards innovation and engineering best practice
• Site experience in the production of construction record will be highly advantageous
