Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer in Poole to work with an engineering consultancy. You will contribute to the design and delivery of multi‑story residential developments, new housing, schools and infrastructure from concept to completion.

The role offers hybrid working, salary £35,000–£50,000, and collaboration with Senior Engineers and Technicians on diverse projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and detailed design of civil schemes (highways, drainage, earthworks).
• Prepare calculations, reports and design documentation per standards.
• Produce high-quality drawings and models using standard software.
• Support technical delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, quality results.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders throughout design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections to monitor progress.

Job description

This full-time Civil Engineer role based in Poole offers a salary between £35,000 and £50,000. You will join a respected engineering consultancy, working alongside Senior Engineers and Technicians on diverse projects. Your responsibilities will span the design and delivery of multi‑story residential developments, new housing, schools, commercial sites, and infrastructure schemes from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and detailed design of civil engineering schemes, including highways, drainage, earthworks and associated infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation in accordance with current standards and best practice.
• Produce high‑quality engineering drawings and models using industry‑standard software.
• Support the technical delivery of projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections to gather information and monitor project progress.
