The Role:

We are searching for a talented and collaborative Civil Engineer.

You will have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, at least 1 year of UK experience, and you'll share our passion for making a positive impact on society. Sustainable design is the cornerstone of our practice, and together, we create innovative designs that not only protect our climate but also enhance the built environment.

Essential Experience:

You will have the following:

  • 3+ years’ experience, with at least a year in the UK.
  • Experience with MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage, and Civil 3D.
  • Hands-on experience developing SuDS strategies for complex urban developments.
  • Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments across all flood zones.

Responsibilities:

Your duties will include the following:

  • Investigating solutions independently, exploring options, and working closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to develop and communicate design solutions.
  • Preparing detailed design drawings, calculations, and specifications at all stages of design and construction.
  • Responding to requests for information from clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Attending meetings and workshops, communicating design ideas through sketches, models, and presentations.
  • Coordinating design information with team members and stakeholders.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members with peer support.
  • Facilitating and organizing meetings and CPD training events for personal and team development.
  • Undertaking design from feasibility to detailed civil engineering design, aiming to deliver optimal outcomes within deadlines and budgets.
  • Preparing reports to support planning applications and design stage deliverables.
  • Planning, managing, and delivering project design drawings and documentation.
  • Collaborating with senior team members to advance projects.

Additional Experience:

  • Design and specification of external hard landscaping and pavements.
  • Design of Section 38 and 278 highway works (beneficial but not essential).
  • Design and negotiation of flood compensation schemes in high-risk flood zones (beneficial but not essential).
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with a growth mindset and positive attitude.
