STRABAG UK is seeking a Civil Engineering Site Supervisor to coordinate and control site activities, ensuring setting-out and quality checks align with programme and drawings. You will oversee ITPs, RAMS, daily diaries, and coordination with surveyors and subcontractors, maintaining strong safety practices.

You will collaborate with the project team to ensure efficient progress, effective communication, and strict adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Experience creating and reviewing quality control documents and procedures.
• Familiarity with RAMS and method statements and ensuring compliance.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills on busy sites.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning through 4-week programmes; flag progress concerns.
• Coordinate surveying with site surveyors for control and checks.
• Support Change Management processes and safety inspections.

The Group comprises expert teams that are able to design and deliver optimal techniques across a 130 string UK based rig fleet. breadth of capabilities spans open site piling, specialist and restricted access piling, modular foundation systems and a wide range of geotechnical specialisms across the infrastructure, residential and construction sectors.

Role Requirements:

• Managing and coordinating the site activities to ensure all setting- out and quality control procedures are performed in a timely and efficient manner, so as not to impede the construction programme.
• Ensure that only the latest available information is used on site (Drawings and Specifications). Be conversant with this information.
• Produce / Review ITP's to ensure quality controls are aligned with specification requirements.
• Implement these ITP's during the control of the works, including the completion of inspections and records thereof.
• Complete and/or review RAMS for the control of the works ensuring that all necessary documentation, as required by these statements and plans, is produced in a timely manner.
• Communicate with Superintendents, foremen, gangers, workforce and sub- contractors to ensure full understanding of information provided.
• Issue permits in accordance with the Control of Work Procedure (where trained and appointed to do so)
• Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client / designer / project team.
• Adherence to STRABAG policies and procedures.
• Attendance and contribution to Daily Co-ordination meetings and Start of Shift briefings.
• Contribute to the planning of activities through development of the 4-weekly programme. Monitor progress against this programme and communicate concerns to the Superintendent.
• Co-ordinate surveying requirements with the site surveyors, including control establishment, setting out and volumetric checks.
• Promotes and ensures adherence to Management of Change procedures and ensure no works are undertaken without an assessment being in place.
• Undertake planned and ad-hoc H&S inspections and ensure findings are communicated to the appropriate action owner.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree/HND in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of Project Procedures.
• Good Communications skills.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary where necessary.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and construction documents.
• Understanding of safety procedures and recognition of hazards.
