Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support civil engineering and infrastructure packages across London. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and design teams to ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to required quality standards.

Responsibilities include setting-out checks, coordinating groundworks and utilities, reviewing drawings, preparing RFIs/ITPs, and maintaining QA records.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day planning and delivery of civil engineering works.
• Coordinate site activities across groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, utilities and general infrastructure packages.
• Review construction drawings, technical specifications and engineering information to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the design.
• Undertake setting-out checks, site measurements and dimensional control in coordination with the site engineering team.
• Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical queries and design discrepancies.
• Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), technical submittals, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and method statements.
• Monitor site progress against programme and report on potential delays, technical issues and resource requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed, including inspections, quality records and as-built documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of permits, risk assessments, temporary works coordination and safe systems of work.
• Support material procurement, subcontractor coordination, site logistics and resource planning.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, progress updates and engineering documentation.
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation, project specifications and company procedures.
• Assist with commissioning, snagging, testing and final handover documentation where required.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure packages, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and design teams to ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer with a strong civils background who is looking to develop their experience across major infrastructure, groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage and utilities projects.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Previous experience working as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer within a civil engineering contractor.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and site delivery.
• Experience across one or more of the following: groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, foundations, utilities or infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, site teams and technical interfaces.
• Good understanding of quality assurance, health and safety and construction documentation.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on infrastructure or major civils projects in London.
• Experience with earthworks, piling, foundations, concrete structures and below-ground services.
• Knowledge of setting-out equipment and surveying techniques.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, construction management software and document control systems.
• CSCS card and relevant site safety training
