About the Role:

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Join a thriving civil engineering and planning consultancy based just outside Birmingham. With a strong reputation in the residential development sector, they partner with leading housebuilders both locally and across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working on a broad range of residential and mixed-use developments — from bespoke private projects to large-scale masterplans for national developers.
• Liaising and communicating with the wider engineering team.
• Delegating tasks to technicians/apprentices, and providing assistance throughout.
• Using drainage & 3D design software such as Flow and PDS to model drainage networks and produce road designs/ground models.
• Preparing submission packs for planning (Outline/Detail/Full).
• Completing technical design submissions (S38/S278/S104) through to approval.
• Completing groundworks packages for tender/construction.
• Producing private engineering designs for on-plot civils works.
• Having an understanding of the planning process and associated documents (e.g., Flood Risk Assessments).

About You:

We’re seeking someone with solid experience in drainage and highway design, with a working knowledge of Section 38, 278, and 104 submissions. You should be confident using relevant design software and comfortable working on projects of various sizes and complexities.
