Jacobs has secured a long-term framework contract with leading Water companies across the UK, and we are seeking skilled people to join our growing water team and deliver on the fantastic opportunities this presents.

These are exciting times to be involved in the water sector with major high-profile programmes of work to be delivered across the water and wastewater asset base in the years ahead. The water industry is facing some of the greatest challenges since privatisation and your role with Jacobs will help deliver enhanced customer and environmental outcomes and wider socio-economic benefits.

We are seeking engineers with a Civil Engineering background who are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways. Working as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team your role will be key in helping our client to deliver innovative and efficient solutions to achieve best customer value and meet their environmental challenges.

Here's what you'll need

You will ideally have civil engineering experience gained across a range of projects in a multi-disciplinary environment in the water sector. With a sound understanding of civil engineering principles and application, you will have;

  • A degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer, or actively working towards chartership
  • Up to date knowledge of current civil standards and specifications
  • Good understanding of the CDM regulations
  • Good understanding of the technical work undertaken in the water sector with experience in one or more of the following areas Water and/or wastewater networks; Water and/or wastewater treatment works; Bioresources; Hydraulics; Mass water conveyance
  • Experience in design management and coordination
  • Proactive with a keenness to help strengthen client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business alongside an ability to work well collaboratively with both internally and external partners and sub-contractors
