Job description

RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Principal Civil/Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Birmingham, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.

About RSK LDE Ltd

Founded in 2003, RSK LDE Ltd was established when a team of specialist design engineers joined RSK to enhance its in-house capabilities. Today, it boasts a highly experienced team of professional civil and structural engineers with extensive experience in assessing, designing, and constructing major development projects.

Responsibilities

1. Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and within budget.
2. Develop and adhere to engineering strategies.
3. Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278, etc.).
4. Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
5. Maintain effective communication with the design team and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Knowledge of:
   • Highway design and ground modelling.
   • Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
   • External works levels design, including Part M.
   • Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
2. Software experience:
   • AutoCAD
   • PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar)
   • Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar)
   • Microsoft Office packages
3. 5-10 years of experience in a similar sector within consultancy.
4. Degree or HNC level education.
