Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its South East development infrastructure team in London, focusing on highways, drainage and utilities for a variety of sectors. You will work within a multidisciplinary practice, under chartership guidance, on projects valued from £1m to £200m.

You will design, calculate, and document infrastructure elements, collaborating with engineers and planners. The role offers development toward ICE Chartership and structured training in a supportive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with S278, S38, S104 and S106 agreements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage and Causeway Flow.
• Ability to prepare technical calculations and reports to a good standard.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design of highways, drainage, earthworks, external levels and utilities.
• Preparing engineering calculations per British Standards, Eurocodes and Codes of Practice.
• Producing technical drawings, reports and specifications.
• Working on small projects or defined elements of larger schemes, with review by senior engineers.
• Liaising with architects, transport planners, structural engineers and other team members.
• Supporting client communication by gathering information and assisting with technical discussions.
• Ensuring high quality control on assigned work packages.
