Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join its Hitchin team. You will contribute to civil infrastructure design from concept to construction and work on a varied portfolio of development projects outside central London.

The role covers drainage, highways, earthworks, and 3D modelling, with opportunities for ICE accreditation and Chartership. Hybrid working and strong professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years UK consultancy experience in development infrastructure.
• Experience with drainage, highways, earthworks and external works is preferred.
• ICE membership or working towards Chartership is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Civil infrastructure and development design from concept through to construction.
• Drainage, SuDS, highways and external works.
• Levels, earthworks and cut/fill modelling.
• Preparing drawings, calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Drainage strategies and flood risk assessments.
• 3D ground modelling and detailed infrastructure design.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, contractors and clients.
• Support projects through planning and detailed design stages.
