Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in London is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to own the design and delivery of civil infrastructure from concept through to detailed design and construction.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to development infrastructure projects across the UK, developing technical skills and progressing toward professional qualifications while enjoying hybrid working and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Ideally 2-5 years' experience in civil infrastructure design in consultancy.
• Experience on development infrastructure projects; UK standards understood.
• Familiarity with S278, S38, S104 and S106 agreements.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D; MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage advantageous.
• Working towards IEng or ICE Chartership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design highways, drainage and infrastructure for development projects.
• Produce detailed drawings, calculations and technical reports.
• Assist with Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports.
• Work on S278, S38, S104 and S106 infrastructure.
• Site levels, earthworks and drainage design.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for designs; MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage tools.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support projects through planning to construction.
• Develop technical knowledge and pursue professional qualifications.
