Civil Design Engineer - Southampton

Our Civil Design Team is expanding due to project wins, and we are recruiting for a Civil Design Engineer to join our professional design team in Southampton. The engineer will collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to produce original civil infrastructure designs, including temporary works within sectors such as clean & dirty water.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements
• Prepare outline designs for tenders within short timescales
• Develop clear and structured design calculations and reports
• Support site teams from pre-construction to construction phases with design proposals

Key Skills/Background:

• Experience in civil design adhering to current codes and standards
• Knowledge of safety legislation related to CDM regulations
• Hydraulic design experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Qualifications: HND/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience
• Chartered status is advantageous but not essential
