Civil Design Engineer - Colchester

Permanent | Hybrid | Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits

I'm currently working with a highly respected, award-winning civil and structural engineering consultancy in central London, who are looking to add a Civil Design Engineer to their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company known for its innovative work across residential, education, arts, and urban regeneration projects. They have a lovely office, a great team culture, and a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare flood risk assessments and drainage strategies
2. Design surface and foul water drainage systems, including SUDS
3. Carry out earthwork volume calculations
4. Prepare Section 104, 106, 38, and 278 submissions
5. Coordinate build-over agreements
6. Use software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage

You'll be working on smaller projects independently while supporting larger schemes under the guidance of experienced senior engineers. There's a good balance of autonomy and support here, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career.
