Job summary

Dundee City Council is recruiting for a full-time Street Cleaning Operative based at depots across the city. The role involves 37 hours per week, five days out of seven including weekends, with training provided and references not requested at application stage.

You will drive a small mechanical sweeper and carry out cleansing duties on roadways, footpaths, and cemeteries. Good communication and ability to work alone or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and reading/writing skills.
• Class C1 driving licence and CPC required.

Responsibilities

• Drive allocated small mechanical sweeper to sweep streets, footpaths, open spaces and cemeteries.
• Operate various vehicle types as required to perform full range of street cleansing tasks across the city.
