Brighton and Hove City Council are recruiting a street cleansing driver operative to operate cage vans, minimatics and mechanical sweepers to keep the city clean. The role involves outdoor work across the city centre, suburbs and seafront, with early starts from 05:00 to 13:06 and no overnights.

You will interact with residents and the public, work as part of a team, and commit to maintaining high standards in all weather conditions, including beach areas.

Street cleansing driver operative post in Brighton and Hove City Council's streets service, driving cage vans, minimatics and mechanical sweepers to keep the city clean. The work runs on a rolling early rota from 05:00 to 13:06, with no overnight shifts, covering the city centre, suburbs and seafront. Much of the job is outdoors, sometimes on the beach, in all weathers. Applicants need a C or C1 driving licence and comfort dealing with members of the public.
