Job summary

Norwich City Services Limited is seeking Sweeper Drivers (up to 3.5 tonnes) to join our street cleaning team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves operating a Sub-Compact Sweeper, performing pre-use checks, and handling daily paperwork and timesheets.

The ideal candidate will have a Full UK B category driving licence, good communication, and strong attention to detail. A C1 licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Full UK B category driving licence.
• Experience of using a Mechanical sweeper (Desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean city streets using a Sub-Compact Sweeper (≤3.5t).
• Drive and operate the sweeper, collect and dispose of waste at transfer station.
• Carry out pre-use checks via the VRC App and complete paperwork/timesheets.
• Maintain health and safety standards and report defects to supervisor.
• Assist with public enquiries on-site and work effectively in a team or alone.
