Job summary

Belfast City Council is seeking a full-time, fixed-term post until 31 May 2028 to support and coordinate innovation projects and programmes. The role involves delivering projects to agreed quality, time and budget as part of the council’s portfolio of innovation initiatives.

You will identify business needs, develop business cases, coordinate implementation of innovation solutions, and build internal and external partnerships to foster collaboration and successful delivery.

Responsibilities

• To the relevant senior officer for the support and coordination of innovation projects and programmes of work, ensuring the delivery of products and services to agreed quality, time and budget as part of the council’s portfolio of innovation projects and frameworks.
• For identifying business needs and to investigate, develop business cases and to coordinate the implementation of appropriate innovation solutions.
• For establishing and supporting relevant partnerships and networks across a wide range of disciplines to create a collaborative environment, both internally and externally, to deliver projects and programmes or work.
• For providing resources across the section under the direction of the City Innovation Manager and the Senior Management Team (SMT).
