About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Centre for Integrative Semiconductor Materials (CISM) – Swansea University’s flagship new £55M facility for advanced semiconductor research and development.

The Research Assistant will provide support for a range of functions including the design of power semiconductor devices based on wide bandgap materials and test wide bandgap devices physically and electrically. Working with the CISM research and technical teams, the role holder will pro-actively contribute to and conduct research to achieve the specific aims and outputs of the project.

The role includes an interesting variation of tasks and responsibilities as outlined in the job description and will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work within a growing innovative sector in South Wales.

This role is funded by the EPSRC Application Targeted and Integrated Photovoltaics Programme Grant.

Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
