Job summary

Maidstone Borough Council is seeking a capable officer to manage the administration of S106 planning agreements and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). You will liaise with developers, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure compliance and timely payments, supporting the Borough’s Infrastructure Delivery Plan.

You will also support Building Safety Levy processes, determining levy charges and issuing notices, while working as part of a flexible, hybrid team delivering high-quality local

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level or equivalent or have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Local Authority planning environment.
• Knowledge of the planning system and the role of s106 agreements, CIL and planning obligations, and ideally an understanding of the regulatory and policy framework for CIL and S106.
• Strong team player who embraces change and has excellent communication, negotiation and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage administration of S106 planning agreements and CIL.
• Liaise with developers, stakeholders and internal teams to oversee compliance, timely payments and delivery of the borough’s Infrastructure Delivery Plan.
• Support administration of the Building Safety Levy processes including determining levy charges, liability and issuing notices.
