Job description

Perioperative Disposal Healthcare Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Perioperative Disposal Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic team in the Main Theatre Suite at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Main Theatres is a busy environment, hosting 17 Operating Theatres with a mix of elective and emergency surgery.

This role involves various duties, including assisting with the preparation and packing of used surgical instrumentation for transportation to our Central Decontamination Unit, as well as maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in Theatre disposal areas.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual capable of working well in a team and independently without supervision.

The successful candidate must meet the demands of the service, work efficiently under pressure, and preferably have experience in a similar environment.

You will be required to achieve mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
