Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with direct involvement in process or continuous improvement.
  • Formal training and practical experience in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualification as a minimum; Black Belt or equivalent advanced qualification desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, process improvement, chemistry, science or related technical discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience leading hands-on improvement projects from problem definition through implementation, control and benefit verification.
  • Strong knowledge of structured problem solving, root cause analysis, process capability, SPC and data analysis.

  • Lead continuous improvement opportunities across manufacturing operations.
  • Lead hands‑on improvement activity on the shop floor using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Apply structured problem‑solving methods including root cause analysis, DMAIC, process mapping and waste elimination.

  • Ability to interpret manufacturing data and translate findings into practical, sustainable improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership, while collaborating effectively as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Good project management, facilitation, coaching, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels.

Please note: Only candidates with permanent Right to Work in the UK will be considered for Continuous Improvement Engineer role.

Pay: up to £50,000.00 per year
