Job summary

RLC Aerospace Limited is seeking a highly motivated Aerospace Industrial Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will focus on improving production performance across machining and assembly operations, with emphasis on CNC machining processes, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include analysing manufacturing processes, driving Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and supporting new product introductions while developing SOPs and process documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in aerospace, precision machining, defence or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, multi-axis) and production planning.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and related continuous improvement methods.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process optimisation, capacity planning and workflow analysis.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documents and process specs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Support the introduction of new products and machining technologies into production.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions and process documentation.

Requirements for the role are:


  • Degree or Equivalent Experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience within aerospace, precision machining, defence or advanced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, including milling, turning, multi-axis machining, and production planning.

  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt of Black Belt.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing process optimisation, capacity planning and workflow analysis.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and process specifications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
