Job summary

Bethany Church is seeking a Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the church centre in Sunderland. You will ensure the venue is safe, welcoming, well maintained and used effectively in line with church policies, supporting church life, ministry and community service.

Responsibilities include managing bookings, coordinating contractors, and supervising staff or volunteers while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of facilities, building, premises or operational management.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, maintenance work or practical operations.
• Experience managing competing priorities, schedules, bookings or events.
• Experience with budgets, quotations, invoices, financial controls, records or compliance documentation.
• Experience working with volunteers, community groups or a service-focused environment.

• Ensure the Centre is safe, welcoming and well maintained.
• Oversee bookings, events and use of facilities.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers in line with church policies.
