Job summary

Whitehall Garden Centre Ltd in Lacock is seeking a friendly Temporary Christmas lights and trees Assistant for the Lacock Garden Centre. Roles are available as Full Time or Part Time, with 4 days per week Monday to Friday and alternate weekends for full-time; part-time roles include weekends.

This is a temporary role ending 3 January 2027. Ideal candidates will have a passion for customer service, excellent communication, and motivation to create a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced

• Greet customers and offer assistance

• Assist with stock control and stock takes as required
• Adhere to Whitehall’s H&S guidelines
• Maintain positive relations with staff and third parties
• Carry out reasonable duties as requested

Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Full Time or Part Time Temporary Christmas lights and trees Assistant at our Lacock Garden Centre.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Full time working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends. Part Time roles include weekends. This is a temporary role until 3rd January 2027.

Temporary Christmas lights and trees Assistant responsibilities;

Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistanceHandling customer queries courteously and efficientlyIdentifying customers needs through interaction, and taking appropriate actionExcellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping are established and maintained in accordance with company guidelinesAll products are accurately priced and labelled in accordance with Company PolicyMaintains good control over stock levels, including stock clearance in agreement with the Garden Shop ManagerEnsure personal compliance with Whitehall’s H&S guidelineMaintains a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third partiesEnsures that stock is cared for appropriatelyProvide assistance with regular stock take exercises as and when requiredCarry out all reasonable duties as requested
