NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading player in the energy and power generation sector, seeking a dedicated and skilled CHP Service Engineer to join their team covering the Northwest region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives on variety, autonomy, and making a real impact on site performance and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day operations, planned maintenance, and rapid breakdown response on CHP generating assets, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Fault diagnosis, location, and rectification across electrical, mechanical, and heat systems.
• Manage spare parts stock levels and utilise in-house tools to minimise unnecessary contractor use.
• Promote and uphold high standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance at all times.
• Support and upskill Operations Technicians to handle routine maintenance, freeing you up for more complex tasks.
• Represent the business professionally on client sites, ensuring well-maintained, clean and safe working environments.
• Participate in a 24-hour emergency call-out rota and occasional overnight stays as required.

Requirements:

• Strong background in Electrical, Heat and Mechanical maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with control systems (12v DC – 415v AC 3ø).
• Gassafe accreditation and 18th Edition desirable — or willing to achieve these within probation.
• Familiarity with CHP, Natural Gas Peaker Plants, PV, Energy Storage, or HVAC is a big plus.
• Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to work under own initiative.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
