Job summary

Johnson Controls in the South West is seeking a Mobile Chiller Service Technician to service, maintain and repair air-cooled chillers across the South West region. You will diagnose faults, perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), complete repairs and recommend equipment improvements while ensuring safety and reliability.

You will work independently or as part of a service team, with a company vehicle and the need for a Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge including chillers, DX, VRV, AHUs.
• Electrical and controls experience, fault finding and rectification.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2 in HVAC or equivalent (Level 3 desirable).

Responsibilities

What you will do

As a Chiller Service Technician , you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing air-cooled chillers across the South West. You will diagnose faults, carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), complete repairs, and recommend equipment improvements where appropriate. You will work independently and as part of a wider service team, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while delivering excellent customer service. All work must be completed in line with customer agreements, company procedures, and health and safety standards.

What we look for

• NVQ Level 2 in HVAC or equivalent qualification (Level 3 desirable)
• F-Gas 2079 Category 1 certification
• Strong knowledge of chillers, DX, split, VRV systems, AHUs, and ventilation equipment
• Experience working with manufacturers such as York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi Electric
• Electrical and controls experience, including fault finding and rectification
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
