Job summary

Get Staff is seeking a Chiller / HVAC Service Engineer to cover the South East of England, home-based with door‑to‑door field visits. You will install, maintain and repair temporary cooling equipment on commercial and industrial sites, working independently on customer premises.

The role requires practical problem solving, RAMS compliance and a proactive approach within a field service team. Salary is £48,000–£53,000 with overtime; benefits include a company van, tools, pension and 25 days

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' commercial HVAC/chiller experience.
• F-Gas qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and manage jobs through to completion.
• Organised, methodical and tidy approach.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Flexible and able to work in a wider service team.

Responsibilities

• Install temporary chillers in line with RAMS and ensure equipment is safely prepared for hire.
• Carry out repairs and attend service breakdowns on customer sites.
• Install and work with AC units, resolving issues with settings and site constraints.
• Assist with boiler installations during winter.
• Install chillers and hoses; some physically demanding work involved.
• Use and maintain company van and tools to complete field-based work.
• Order and maintain van and stores stock to minimise customer waiting time.
• Support development of associated products to meet customer needs.
• Identify and support operational improvements, focusing on customer satisfaction and cost reduction.
• Work safely and comply with company procedures.
