Job summary

RECRUITMENT HELPLINE in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Chiller Service Engineer to join our client’s team. The role covers field-based service and maintenance across customer sites, diagnosing faults and performing maintenance on process cooling systems.

You'll handle breakdowns, commissioning and re-commissioning work, and contribute to the on-call rota. A strong fault-finding mindset and reliable customer-facing approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Field-based service and maintenance across customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and perform planned maintenance on chillers and industrial refrigeration.
• Strong fault-finding ability and reliability in customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis and repair on process and comfort cooling systems, from small chillers to large industrial plant.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and F-Gas checks.
• Commissioning and re-commissioning work.
• Flagging remedial works and keeping customers informed on site.
• Completing service reports and keeping job records straight.
• Taking part in the shared on-call rota for out-of-hours support.
• Lending a hand to the rest of the team when it is needed.
