Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is sourcing a Chiller Service Engineer for a Birmingham-based role covering the Midlands. The position is full-time and involves field service across industrial and commercial sites with a salary of £42,000–£50,000 per year, dependent on experience.

The role includes 24/7 breakdown cover awareness, a driving licence, and a track record with industrial chillers. You’ll join a small team delivering reliable cooling across plants, breweries, data centres and more.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 is required.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Track record on chillers or industrial refrigeration plant is essential.
• Diagnostic ability is highly valued and experience with process cooling is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis and repair on process and comfort cooling systems, from small process chillers up to large industrial plant
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and F-Gas checks
• Commissioning and re-commissioning work
• Flagging remedial works and keeping customers informed on site
• Completing service reports and keeping job records straight
• Taking part in the shared on-call rota for out-of-hours support
• Lending a hand to the rest of the team when it is needed
