Job summary

Albert Bartlett in Airdrie is seeking a Chilled Intake Team Leader to manage the weekend intake operation on a 7 days over 14 days pattern (7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM). The role offers an hourly rate of £15.56–£16.53 and requires a forklift licence with experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.

You will lead the intake team, ensure materials are received, checked and booked into stock, and drive safety, quality and continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience within manufacturing, logistics or warehouse operations.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to motivate teams.
• Experience working in fast-paced operational environments; IT literate with stock control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the Chilled Intake team across the weekend shift.
• Ensure all raw materials are received, checked and booked into stock accurately.
• Manage labour resources to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and implement improvements where required.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times.
• Conduct team briefings and communicate key business updates.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Complete shift reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Liaise with Production, Planning, Technical and Warehouse teams.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing, warehouse operations or logistics who is looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

As the Chilled Intake Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the intake team, ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate receipt of raw materials into the business. You will lead by example, driving performance, safety, quality and operational excellence across the department.
