Job summary

Albert Bartlett, the UK's leading potato grower, is seeking a Warehouse Operator with a valid forklift license for the Chilled Intake team in Airdrie. The role is a night shift on a 7 days over 14 pattern (7PM–7AM), with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for overtime.

You will receive, store and move goods, maintain safety and accuracy, and support production through efficient stock handling. The successful candidate will have forklift experience, a strong safety mindset, and the

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Experience operating forklifts in warehouse, manufacturing or food production environments.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Flexible and reliable approach to work.
• Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Previous experience using warehouse management systems.
• Pivot steer or other MHE licences.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts in accordance with company procedures.
• Receive, unload and put away incoming deliveries.
• Transfer stock between intake, storage and production areas.
• Load and unload vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Complete daily forklift safety checks and report any defects.
• Ensure stock is rotated and stored correctly.
• Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork or system transactions.
• Support inventory accuracy through stock checks and audits.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
