Job description

Job Description

Global leader in fruit and dairy processing—selling products in more than 100 countries with 25 factories worldwide—requires an excellent Chilled Demand Planner to join their busy team.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the chilled supply chain, including developing relationships with customers and factories, and forecasting. This role requires someone who understands the supply chain within a manufacturing environment. Demand forecasting is a significant part of this role. Additionally, you will decide the quantities of each product to be delivered to UK depots for two of the factories across Europe.

Some factories will manage their stock in the UK depot directly; you will support them in understanding the UK market, providing necessary information, and challenging them to meet KPIs such as service level and wastage reduction.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Improve forecast accuracy and implement strategies to achieve better forecasting results.
  2. Align forecast accuracy with factory stock management and review security stock policies based on specific issues.
  3. Develop action plans to resolve service level and waste issues.
  4. Analyze business data and draw conclusions to improve processes.
  5. Communicate with European factories working on push flows to help them understand the UK market and provide activity insights.
  6. Support and manage seasonal uplifts, e.g., Easter, Christmas, and promotions.
  7. Forecast and control stock for chilled desserts.
  8. Liaise with warehouses, partners, and retailers regarding promotions and other activities.
Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role, demonstrating professionalism, influence, motivation, and the ability to work within a team and with retailer partners. You should be commercially aware, tenacious, capable of working under challenging deadlines, adaptable to change, and able to problem-solve with creative solutions using limited resources. A highly analytical mindset paired with clear, passionate communication is essential.

Background:
  • Analytical skills are crucial for forecasting and analyzing raw data to identify trends and resolve issues.
  • A commercial mindset and excellent relationship-building skills are key to success.
  • Common sense and mathematical understanding are vital for effective supply chain management, with a focus on prioritization.
  • Ability to take initiative and propose process improvements.
Skills:
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and data interpretation.
  • Hardworking, well-organized, and efficient.
  • Ability to influence others and work effectively in a team.
  • Resilience under pressure.
  • Good project management skills and multitasking ability.
Location:

Full-time position based in West London (Hammersmith).

Company & Package:
  • Market leader in their sector.
  • Salary: approximately £30,000.
  • Health care single cover.
  • Permanent health insurance.
  • Company pension contribution.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Company sick pay.
  • Death in Service cover (4x salary).
