Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Team Manager in the Children with Disabilities team. You will lead a multidisciplinary group, ensuring safeguarding, care planning and timely support for families countywide.

You will supervise qualified social workers, drive performance and foster partnerships with health, education and disability services to deliver holistic outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
• Solid understanding of the Children Act and the Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of social workers.
• Provide reflective and analytical supervision which supports informed decision making.
• Collaborate with disability family support services, health, and education to deliver tailored support packages.
• Demonstrate expert practice in complex situations, managing higher levels of risk.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues, families, and external partners.
