Job summary

Connect2Halton is seeking an inspirational Team Manager to lead the Children with Disabilities Team within Halton Borough Council. You will provide professional leadership, management and supervision to social workers and practitioners to ensure high-quality, personalised support for disabled children and young people.

Qualifications

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Significant post-qualifying experience within children's social care.
• Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and their families.
• Proven experience of supervising, developing and managing social work staff.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, statutory guidance and children's social care practice.
• 3 years perm experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a committed team of social workers and practitioners.
• Ensure children and young people with disabilities are at the heart of decision-making and planning.
• Promote high standards of social work practice and effective partnership working.
• Provide reflective supervision, support professional development and promote a strong learning culture.
• Ensure assessments, care planning, safeguarding and reviews are completed to a high standard and within statutory timescales.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, education colleagues and other partner agencies.
