• Support children in residential services, building positive relationships and providing calm, patient support.
• Assist with daily activities, routines, and supervision.
• Respond to challenging moments with resilience and de-escalation as needed.

As a CYP Support Worker, no two days are the same. Some days might be movies, popcorn, games with building positive relationships; other days can be more challenging, with heightened emotions, distressed behaviour or situations where a young person may go missing. You'll need to stay calm, patient and resilient, supporting young people through difficult moments while celebrating the good ones. It's not always easy, but every small win makes a difference.
