Support Worker Role

We are seeking support workers who share our core values of patience, respect, compassion, understanding, and adaptability, and who are fully committed to supporting young people. We offer zero-hour contracts with highly competitive pay. Shifts are typically 12 hours long. We provide tools and opportunities for career growth and professional development to enable you to support children and young people effectively.

Requirements and Training

Applicants must:

• Be a driver with access to a vehicle for work.
• Have a warm, engaging personality suitable for working with children and young people.
• Be flexible in your work schedule.

Experience supporting challenging young people is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome applications from those with the right skills and values.

If selected for interview, you will undergo onboarding including:

• Training in 16 modules.
• A 2-day in-person Physical Intervention Training course delivered by our GSA Certified tutors.
• A 1-day in-person training on Children’s Safeguarding, Trauma Informed Practice, Introduction to Polyvagal Theory, and Understanding Your Role at Paragon Social Care.
