Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Ward Assistant to support nursing staff in the Children’s Department. The role involves working with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary teams at KGH Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital Romford, contributing to infection prevention, safety and high standards

Qualifications

• Non-clinical duties to support nursing staff and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain stock levels, ordering and rotating supplies.
• Assist with patient meals and patient experience initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate stock levels and rotate supplies.
• Report and escalate equipment, estates, cleaning and catering issues.
• Prepare breakfasts and distribute meals, communicating dietary needs.
