Bayview Childcare in Capernwray, Carnforth, is seeking a Residential Home Team Leader to supervise a small group of young people (8-18) with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. You will ensure safe, nurturing daily operations, contribute to Ofsted standards, and deputise for the Registered Manager when needed.

A full UK driving licence and a Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People are essential. DBS check at enhanced level will be required if successful for the position.

Responsabilités

• Produce, review, and maintain high-quality care plans in line with Ofsted standards and Bay View policies.
• Build positive relationships with young people and engage them in development activities.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment by modelling positive behaviour and following policies and risk assessments.
• Record and communicate key information to young people, families, professionals, and the Registered Manager.
• Support daily operations in the Registered Manager's absence, including staffing and care standards.
• Assist with budgeting, rota management, sleep-ins, and household planning such as menus.
• Lead or contribute to team meetings and encourage staff involvement in improvements.
• Ensure staffing levels are appropriate and supervise staff performance.

• Base salary of £28,915.33 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £35,635.33 per annum with sleep‑in shifts

About the Role

We're seeking a motivated Residential Home Team Leader to join our team at Bayview, a family‑style home in Capernwray, Carnforth, supporting up to four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. You'll help create a safe, nurturing environment, support daily operations, maintain Good/Outstanding Ofsted standards, and deputise for the Registered Manager when required. A full UK driving licence and a Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support daily operations when the Registered Manager is absent, including staffing and care standards.
• Assist with budgeting, rota management, sleep‑ins/on‑call, and household planning such as menus.
• Lead or contribute to team meetings, encourage open communication, and involve staff in improvement ideas.
• Ensure staffing levels are appropriate, manage absences, and carry out staff supervisions.
• Keep your knowledge up to date through required training.
• Raise concerns appropriately, escalating to the Responsible Individual when necessary.
