Job summary

iMap Centre in Winsford is seeking a caring and resilient Support Worker to help children and adults with autism participate in daily living and learning activities. You will join a small, rotating team with early/late shifts and some weekends, on a part‑time basis.

You will support personal care, expressiveness, education, health and wellbeing, social activities, and community opportunities, promoting independence and a positive role model for those in our care.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, preferably in SEND/autism.
  • Be compassionate and understanding.
  • Dynamic problem solver who can work well under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and listening skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication skill.

Responsibilities

  • Help the our young people to meet their personal care needs.
  • Enable our children and adults to express their wishes, views and feelings
  • Apply creative and innovative ideas to support education
  • Support with all aspects of health and wellbeing.
  • Attend appointment and arranging social activities.

About the Role

Are you Understanding, Empowering and Aspirational? If so, you could help our children and young people make the best out of every day. Support workers are the key to providing outstanding care and we are looking for vibrant, resilient and committed people to join our small team in Winsford. Hours consist of earlies, lates, double and some weekends as part of a rotating staff team. Part‑Time hours available.

Please note iMap do not currently offer Certificates of Sponsorship.
