Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate and resilient Children’s Support Workers to join our team in the UK. You will provide trauma-informed care, build trusting relationships, support education, life skills, and independence for young people in local authority care.

This role involves meal prep, accompanying medical appointments, transporting young people with your own vehicle when required, and promoting safety, stability, and positive daily routines.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
  • Patience, empathy and emotional resilience are essential.
  • A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is required.

Description

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
  • Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
  • Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

A relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is desirable but not essential — we’ll support the right people to grow.

  • £17.50ph - £24.00ph PAYE Rate (including holiday pay)
  • £20.00ph - £28.00ph Umbrella Rate
