Job summary

Tripod Partners is seeking a Social Worker for the MASH Team in Rochdale. The role involves acting as a first decision-maker for social care contacts and delivering clear guidance on next steps.

About the Role:

Our Social Workers in the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) are the first decision-makers for contacts coming into Social Care.

They play a vital role in reviewing information, liaising with partner agencies and providing clear direction on appropriate next steps. Our Social Workers are key to supporting agencies in working through the concerns they have, providing advice and signposting to appropriate services where required.

The role also involves liaising with locality leads to identify and offer appropriate support, as well as providing informal advice, guidance and supervision to other professionals working within the MASH across a range of disciplines.

Our Social Workers are passionate about meeting families’ needs at the earliest opportunity and preventing unnecessary escalation to specialist services. They are skilled in having sensitive conversations, coaching and supporting professionals, while applying sound professional judgement when assessing need, risk and safeguarding thresholds.
