Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) to join the MASH team in Oldham. You will safeguard children and promote welfare through collaboration with partner agencies to assess needs and respond to crises.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing intervention plans with families and multi‑agency partners, providing guidance to families, and maintaining compliant records. A passion for protecting children is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognized social work qualifications: Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent assessment and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.
• Provide support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with statutory requirements and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to share insights and develop best practices.
