Remedy Social Work is assisting Oldham Council in recruiting a Children’s Senior Social Worker to join the MASH team in Oldham. You will screen referrals, assess safeguarding needs and coordinate responses across agencies.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, decision-making and partnership work to ensure timely support for children and families within a fast-paced safeguarding environment. Locum, full-time flexibility, ongoing placement.

Qualifications

• Screen referrals relating to children, young people and families.
• Undertake timely safeguarding assessments to identify risk levels.
• Collect, analyse and evaluate information from agencies to support decisions.
• Provide guidance to partner agencies and the public on safeguarding concerns and pathways.
• Collaborate with police, health services, education providers and other safeguarding partners.
• Complete evidence-based safeguarding and risk assessments.
• Make timely decisions about thresholds, interventions and service provision.
• Maintain accurate case records in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.
• Participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency forums to improve outcomes.
• Promote early intervention and preventative safeguarding practices.
