Job summary

Knowsley Council is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Team. The role is based at Nutgrove Villa, Huyton, on a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

You will hold a varied statutory caseload of disabled children and families, complete high-quality assessments, and deliver strengths-based practice centred on the child's voice. Active Social Work England registration and a recognised degree are required.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Recognised Social Work degree (or equivalent).
• Registration: Active Social Work England registration required.
• Experience: Proven experience in statutory children's services with direct work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Hold and manage a varied statutory caseload of disabled children, young people and their families.
• Complete high-quality assessments of need and co-produce intervention plans.
• Deliver relationship-based, strengths-based social work practice with the child’s voice at the centre of decisions.
• Collaborate with health, education, and social care colleagues to build robust support packages.
