Job summary

NSPCC in Cardiff is seeking a dedicated Children’s Social Worker (SM) to safeguard and promote welfare, ensuring children’s voices are heard and needs met. You will join a supportive team committed to making a difference for vulnerable children.

Key duties include assessing needs, developing tailored plans with families, coordinating with services, and maintaining case records while engaging in supervision and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Recognised social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Care Wales or eligibility for registration.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.

Job description

The NSPCC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Social Worker (SM) to join our Cardiff team.
