The East Riding of Yorkshire Council in Goole is seeking an administrative support officer to assist staff across services such as the Goole Strengthening & Supporting Families Team and Children\'s Assessment Services Team. The role is situated in Goole Council Offices and will provide a wide intensive range of administrative support to staff from different services such as the Goole Strengthening & Supporting Families Team and Children's Assessment Services Team. The position involves answering telephone calls and dealing with queries from clients & members of the public, you will be required to type minutes up for various meetings and also handwritten notes for the workers we support, printing, photocopying, post, scanning and indexing documents onto the relevant in-house systems, ordering, invoices, inputting data onto systems and using the council's email system. The Admin Team provides support to the Social Work Team for children in need or at risk, ensuring that appropriate help is available to families experiencing a wide range of difficulties. These may include behavioural concerns, child protection issues, anti-social behaviour, adolescent conflict, domestic abuse, and substance misuse involving drugs and alcohol. The Safeguarding Teams respond to enquiries from children, parents, carers, members of the public, and partner agencies, including health and education services, to ensure children and families receive the support and protection they need.
