Job summary

Homes2Inspire, part of Shaw Trust Group, is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker for Lillibet House in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The role involves safeguarding, daily care, and helping children develop life skills within a 3-bed home.

Hours are 40 per week with sleep-ins; salary ranges from £27,976 to £28,650 per year, plus sleep-in allowance and attendance bonus. Sponsorship and part-time hours are not offered.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care.
• Provide daily care and support, including cooking and budgeting skills.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Maintain a safe environment following procedures and Ofsted rules.
• Build positive relationships and act as a positive role model.
• Transport young people to school, medical appointments, and activities.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with managers and social workers.
• Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• Drivers with a full UK license are preferred.
