Job summary

First Blue Healthcare in Cannock is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join our team in a children’s residential home. The role involves providing support, care and guidance to young people using a positive parenting model, with a DBS check and references prior to start.

The position offers continuous training, development opportunities, and a generous sleep-in rate; sleep-ins around £70.47 per night, with a commitment to safeguarding and welfare of those in care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates passion to work with children and young people.
• Ability to create a supportive, family-like environment.
• Resilient and understanding in demanding situations.
• Able to work in a paperless environment with basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide young people with activities, support, care and guidance.
• Follow guidance from team leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day running with structure and boundaries.
• Be flexible with shift patterns and rosters.
• Manage risks in line with policies and procedures.
• Act as an advocate for the young person and participate in service development.
